Sarı, who described himself as a clinical doctor, declared his monthly income to be 400 thousand lira. Detained defendant Gıyasettin Mert Özdemir, an ambulance driver, stated that he is married and has children, and his monthly income is 40 thousand lira. LAWYER REACTS TO THE NON-READING OF DOCUMENTSAfter the identity determination of the defendants was completed, the presiding judge read the newly arrived documents to the court. During this time, lawyer Ömer Kavili, sitting in the audience, stated that not reading the contents of the documents was contrary to procedure. Following the presiding judge's warning that no one should speak without permission, a discussion ensued. The presiding judge instructed the police to remove the lawyer from the courtroom. KAVILI REMOVED FROM THE COURTROOM: THE PRESIDENT DOES NOT LISTEN TO THE LAWSpeaking to the press at the door of the courtroom, lawyer Ömer Kavili accused the presiding judge. "The law says documents that come to the file are read," he stated. "I warned the presiding judge twice. He does not listen to the law," Kavili claimed that the presiding judge did not want the courtroom to hear what was in the file.
