Stellantis has launched a recall campaign due to a problem detected in the Takata airbags used in the Citroen C3 and DS3 models sold in Turkey, produced between 2009 and 2016.
According to a statement from the company, Stellantis Turkey has invited its customers to immediately stop using these vehicles and to quickly make an appointment at one of the authorized service centers to replace the airbags, by contacting the designated phone number 08503992256. AIRBAGS DEFECTIVEIt has been reported that the chemical components of the Takata-manufactured airbags used in these vehicles can deteriorate over time, especially when exposed to hot and humid weather conditions.Stellantis stated that in the event of an accident resulting in the deployment of the airbag, the airbag inflator could explode when excessive force is applied, potentially leading to serious injuries or even death in the worst-case scenario. Therefore, they have called on the owners of the affected vehicles to replace the airbags at authorized service centers to protect them from a life-threatening risk. Stellantis Turkey, which has stated that the safety and comfort of its customers is its top priority, is continuing its efforts to complete these replacements quickly.
