Rechargeable hybrid cars to receive SCT discount! Prices will decrease by 500 thousand lira.

The law regulation prepared to increase savings in the public sector has been published in the Official Gazette. With the regulation, a special consumption tax (ÖTV) reduction has been applied to hybrid vehicles with a range of over 70 kilometers that can be charged. The regulation has come into effect.

The ÖTV rates of rechargeable hybrid vehicles with carbon dioxide emissions below 25 grams and an electric range of 70 km and above will vary between 30% and 70% with the regulation.

The vehicle conditions that can benefit from the reduction are as follows;

Accordingly; vehicles with an engine cylinder capacity not exceeding 1600 cm3 and an ÖTV base not exceeding 1,350,000 TL will benefit from a 30% ÖTV reduction.

Vehicles with an engine cylinder capacity not exceeding 1600 cm3 and an ÖTV base exceeding 1,350,000 TL will be exempt from 60% ÖTV.

Vehicles with an engine cylinder capacity exceeding 1600 cm3 but not exceeding 1800 cm3 and an ÖTV base not exceeding 1,350,000 TL will be subject to a 70% ÖTV reduction.

The new regulation has come into effect. It is expected that the prices of rechargeable vehicles will decrease by around 400-500 thousand TL after the ÖTV reduction.

DEALERS WILL UPDATE VEHICLE PRICES

Brands offering rechargeable hybrid vehicles in the Turkish market also want to compete with each other by taking advantage of this reduction. On the other hand, an increase in the sales of hybrid vehicles in Turkey is expected with this regulation.

In the calculation made on a car with a market value of 1 million 689 thousand TL, it was observed that the price decreased to 1 million 83 thousand TL with the ÖTV reduction.

Tax-free price of the vehicle: 1,083,333 TL

30% ÖTV: 325,000 TL

Subtotal: 1,408,333 TL

20% VAT: 281,666 TL

Total price: 1,689,999 TL
