"Record increase in paid military service fees is coming."

According to the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey's (CBRT) forecasts for 2025, salary increases for retirees and civil servants are planned. In this regard, a 15.45% increase is expected for SSK and BAĞ-KUR retirees, and an 11.25% increase for civil servant and civil servant retiree salaries.

On the other hand, another item that will see an increase is the fee for paid military service. In the second half of 2024, the fee for paid military service, which is 217,871 TL, will rise to 242,381 TL after the increase in 2025.

HOW IS THE FEE FOR PAID MILITARY SERVICE DETERMINED?

The fee for paid military service, which will increase in January 2025, changes twice a year based on the increase rate of civil servant salaries. The inflation rate for December 2024 will be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on January 3, 2025. The increase in the fee for paid military service will also be finalized after this data is released.
