The trial of 20 defendants, who are alleged to have shared confidential information belonging to Palestinian citizens and individuals linked to Hamas with the Israeli Intelligence Service's Online Operations Center (İÇOM), was held. The hearing, conducted by the Istanbul 26th High Criminal Court in the courtroom opposite the Marmara Prison Campus, was attended by 19 defendants, 15 of whom are in custody, along with their lawyers. One detained defendant connected via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS) from the prison in Izmir. 2 PEOPLE RELEASEDThe court, which issued an interim decision, granted release for 2 individuals in the case where 20 defendants are being tried for "political or military espionage" with a request for up to 45 years in prison for each, accused of "spying for MOSSAD." POSTPONED TO FEBRUARYThe panel, which ruled for the continuation of the detention of the other 14 defendants, postponed the hearing to February 19-20, 2025, to address the deficiencies.
