In the drug investigation conducted in Istanbul, some metabolites such as morphine were detected in the actor Hande Erçel, who provided blood and hair samples at the Forensic Medicine Institution. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested an examination from the Forensic Medicine Institution to determine whether the active substances are pharmaceutical active ingredients.
The investigation into 'drugs' conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau against famous individuals is ongoing. As part of the investigation, hair and blood samples were taken from actress Hande Erçel at the Forensic Medicine Institution.
ERÇEL'S TEST RESULT According to Hande Erçel's test result, morphine, codeine and its metabolite, as well as the active ingredient of the drug, paracetamol were detected in her urine.
LETTER FROM THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE TO THE FORENSIC MEDICINE INSTITUTION In this context, a letter was sent by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office to the Forensic Medicine 5th Specialization Board to examine whether the active substances are drug active ingredients. It has been learned that the evaluation and findings of the board are awaited.
HANDE ERÇEL'S STATEMENT TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE In her statement to the prosecutor's office, Hande Erçel said that she only went to the restaurant part of the Bebek Hotel a few times for job interviews, stating, "Apart from that, I do not have a nightlife. I did not attend any private parties or events alleged to be organized by certain businessmen that appeared in the press. I do not know anyone mentioned in the file who organizes such parties. I had no knowledge of these parties and events and did not receive any invitations in any way. I have never used drugs or stimulants at any point in my life. I pay attention to healthy living due to my work, and I have never seen Hakan Sabancı use drugs or stimulants," she said.
In the continuation of her statement, Erçel mentioned that she has been in front of the screens for 13 years and has always paid attention to her lifestyle because she is aware of the audience she can influence, saying, "I have tried and am trying to be an example to everyone and to represent my country in the best way abroad. I am saddened that my name appears in such a file, and I do not accept the accusations against me."
