Russia holds missile military drills in the Baltic Sea

Russia's navy and air force conducted a large-scale military exercise around its autonomous region of Kaliningrad in Northern Europe, involving fighter jets, bombers, and missile ships, showcasing strength in the Baltic Sea.

WARPLANES, BOMBERS, AND MISSILE SHIPS PARTICIPATED

According to Russian news agency Interfax, the Russian navy conducted military exercises in the Baltic Sea involving unguided missile launches, bombing missions, and missile attacks. The report stated that the exercises, carried out by Russia on June 8-9 in and around its European exclave of Kaliningrad, included approximately ten military aircraft, including warplanes and bombers, as well as two small missile ships.

NATO EXERCISE CONTINUES IN THE BALTIC SEA

Meanwhile, it was notable that Russia's exercise coincided with the large-scale BALTOPS naval exercise led by the US and NATO in the region. The NATO exercise, which began on June 4 and will continue until June 20, involves approximately 20 ships and 6,000 personnel from 15 countries.
