Following these developments, Ukraine launched British Storm Shadow missiles at military targets inside Russia for the first time. The missile attack came after Ukraine's American-made ATACMS missile strike on Russia.

PUTIN'S RESPONSE WAS QUITE SEVERE

Putin, who was expected to respond very harshly to Ukraine's attack, made the anticipated move today. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that Russia had conducted an intercontinental ballistic missile attack. It was stated that this was the first time since the beginning of the war that Russia had used such powerful and long-range missiles.

"AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS SHOT DOWN THE MISSILE"

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the city of Dnipro was attacked with various types of missiles. Kiev sources announced that these included intercontinental ballistic missiles, Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles, and 7 Kh-101 cruise missiles. According to Kiev, air defense systems managed to shoot down six Kh-101 missiles. The report from the Ukrainian Air Force stated, "Other missiles did not cause significant damage."

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk region stated earlier today that there was destruction at an industrial facility and fires broke out in two locations as a result of a major missile attack by the Russians in Dnipro. Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov noted that the bombardment damaged a rehabilitation center building for the disabled. Filatov stated that the center's boiler room was destroyed and its windows were broken.

The Russian Ministry of Defense did not comment on reports regarding the missile attack on Dnipro.
