On August 21, in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, the trial regarding the murder of Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found 19 days after she went missing, is ongoing. On the second day of the first hearing of the trial, which began yesterday at the 8th Heavy Penal Court, witness statements were taken.

SALIM GÜRAN'S DAUGHTERS: WE ARE PROUD TO BE HIS CHILDREN

Rojin and Rezan Güran stated in the courtroom that they are proud of their father, Salim Güran, saying, "The truth will come out." Rojin Güran was called as a witness first. Answering many questions with 'I didn't see' and 'no', Rojin Güran told her father as she passed by, "Dad, I believe you, I am proud to be your daughter." Then, Salim Güran's other daughter, Rezan Güran, was heard as a witness. Rezan Güran also said, "I am proud to be my father's daughter. The truth will come out."

First, brother Baran Güran was heard as a witness. The judge asked Güran about the claim that "a secret meeting was held at home":

Aunt Maşallah Güran was also heard as a witness. The judge asked the aunt about the "women's fight" issue that family members could not clearly explain:

• Maşallah Güran: On the day Narin was found, Commander Hülya came, informed Yüksel, and said, "My condolences." Yüksel then said, "But you promised me." At that moment, she screamed and fainted. RAMAZAN AKSOY, ONE OF THE KEY NAMES, SAID "I DO NOT WANT TO BE A WITNESS"

Initially, Ramazan Aksoy, who was arrested, was brought to the stand after a phone conversation with his uncle Salim Güran was revealed. The court president asked Atasoy if he wanted to be a witness. The 15-year-old Atasoy, who said "I do not want to be a witness," was taken back to prison.

YASEMİN GÜL: I DON'T KNOW WHO MAŞALLAH CURSED

Later, Yasemin Gül, the sister of Yüksel Güran, who was heard as a witness, recounted the day of the incident. Gül said, "I had no idea, when my nephew said 'Narin is missing,' I came to the village with my husband. We thought she was alive. We always had hope. She spoke about what was coming from the press. She said, 'At least let there be a grave.' I was at home on the day of the incident. 'Narin's body has been found.' I immediately turned on the television. I called my husband, and he came right after finishing work. I went to the village immediately. I said, 'Don't be ridiculous, does a child go missing in the village?' The gendarmerie told me this, 'Narin must have seen something she shouldn't have, that's why Salim killed her,' and I said, 'No.' They said, 'Your sister killed her,' and I said, 'She would never do such a thing.' I said, 'This girl wouldn't be killed for fun.' In the fight involving women, Maşallah made curses in Kurdish like 'may your neck break,' 'may you go blind,' 'may God curse you.' I went out to the balcony and looked at them. I was in shock from Narin's death and the fight. My mother said, 'Go outside, get some air.' At that moment, the gendarmerie arrived," she said.

In response to the question, "To whom did Maşallah direct that curse?" Yasemin Gül said, "I don't know, I don't know to whom she said 'may God curse you.' After saying 'How could we know?' about the girl, I went out to the balcony."
