Syrian President Ahmed Shara held a phone conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump. During the call, Shara stated that lifting the remaining sanctions on Syria is a fundamental step toward reviving the Syrian economy. Trump, noting that he closely follows developments in Syria and the region, emphasized the importance of maintaining stability and supporting the recovery and reconstruction process in Syria.

According to a statement from the Syrian Presidency, President Ahmed al-Shara spoke with U.S. President Donald Trump by phone.

AGENDA INCLUDES WAYS FOR JOINT COOPERATION

The discussions covered bilateral relations between the two countries as well as the latest political and security developments in the region. Al-Shara and Trump evaluated ways of joint cooperation to support Syria's stability and contribute to the economic recovery process in the coming period.
