In a written statement from the Ministry, it was stated that "an explanation is necessary regarding the 'social media posts of the Director of Youth and Sports in Hatay' that appeared in some press and media outlets. Murat Gevrek, who made a statement on his social media account after the match between our National Football Team and the Netherlands in the Quarter-Finals of the 2024 European Football Championship, has ended his duty as the Director of Youth and Sports in Hatay on 02.05.2024. An investigation has been launched against him due to his statements."
