WHO IS GRETA THUNBERG?
She was born on January 3, 2003, in Sweden. In August 2018, she began protesting for immediate action against climate change. She drew media attention with her "School Strike for Climate" and has been recognized as a climate activist since then.
The school strike for the climate movement began in November 2018. In December, she spoke at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP24), drawing the world's attention.
At the age of 8, she encountered the terms climate change and global warming, watching many documentaries and reading various sources about them. When she learned that what was happening in the world was a result of human actions, Greta fell into depression at the age of 11. She is also an activist and has Asperger's syndrome, a form of autism, and selective mutism.
