There was a collapse on the roof of a 4-story building in Hürriyet neighborhood, Bahçelievler, Istanbul for unknown reasons. Upon notification, a large number of fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the teams continue their work at the scene, there were no casualties or injuries. ANOTHER BUILDING COLLAPSED DURING THE NIGHTIn a 7-story building located on Yadigar Street, Zafer neighborhood, Bahçelievler, a partial collapse occurred around 04:45. The residents, thinking that an earthquake was happening, rushed out into the street in fear, but luckily no one was harmed. AN ADDITIONAL 4 FLOORS WERE ADDED LATERHakan Bahadır, the Mayor of Bahçelievler, stated that the collapsed building was built in 1980 as a 4-story building and 3 more floors were added in 1994. 2 SIMILAR INCIDENTS WITHIN 24 HOURSAfter the second collapse that occurred in the same district within less than 24 hours, the hearts of the residents skipped a beat. This raised the question of "what would happen to buildings that collapse for no reason during an earthquake?" The teams continue their work in the area.
