Security sources made a statement regarding the developments in Syria following the significant capture of Aleppo.
NEW MOVEMENTS HAVE STARTED
It was answered whether the mobility in the region would create new opportunities for the terrorist organization PKK/YPG. In a statement made by security sources, it was noted that with the capture of Aleppo, which is under the control of the Syrian regime, by the opposition, new movements have begun in the Syrian arena as a result of the clashes that started in northern Syria.
"THE SYRIAN REGIME HAS OPENED SPACE FOR PKK/YPG"
In the statement, it was conveyed that the rapid loss of areas under the control of regime forces has led the Syrian regime to seek support from the terrorist organization PKK/YPG against the opposition, thus opening space for PKK/YPG.
Security sources reported that the Syrian regime has started to transfer territories under its control to the PKK/YPG forces located east of the Euphrates. For this reason, it was stated that a large number of PKK/YPG members have come to the Aleppo region from the east of the Euphrates, and heavy weapons belonging to the organization have begun to be dispatched.
"THE TERRORIST ORGANIZATION SAW THE SITUATION AS AN OPPORTUNITY"
In the continuation of the statement, it was mentioned that "PKK/YPG has seen the abandonment of regions under the control of Syrian regime forces as an opportunity and has activated a plan to create a terrorist corridor between Tel Rifat and northeastern Syria. However, this plan of the terrorist organization has been disrupted by the Syrian National Army."
According to security sources, the SMO groups, noticing this step of PKK/YPG, which took advantage of the opposition's advance towards Aleppo, entered the field by launching the Operation Euphrates Shield. The SMO blocked the road between Raqqa and Aleppo, preventing PKK/YPG from establishing a terrorist corridor between Tel Rifat and northeastern Syria.
