DETAIL OF "PORK" IN THE INDICTMENT

It was claimed that the fugitive crime organization leader Sedat Peker, who is in a legal battle for allegedly trying to extort the famous meatball seller and is being tried along with 19 defendants who are not in custody, made allegations about "pork" against Köfteci Yusuf. In the 53-page indictment, it was stated that a group told Yusuf Akkaş, who did not comply with their demands, "We will spread that there is pork in your restaurants, and then we will pay to have this written somewhere."

In a new statement regarding the matter, fugitive crime organization leader Sedat Peker said, "I am not a defendant in that case. This incident happened between me and the then Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu. I do not personally know Köfteci Yusuf. I was going to hold a rally in Gürsu. They gave me a phone. My acquaintance with Yusuf Akkaş happened over the phone. I have no knowledge of what the other friends sell, the meat cutting place, or their conversations. Nor did we discuss anything related to this. There are people among those individuals that we know. But I know hundreds of thousands of people like them. So, the person who connected me with that friend is not someone from my immediate family. There is no section in the file regarding Yusuf that concerns me. There is no record of my call, my message, or any record of me.

"IT IS NOT RIGHT TO MAKE ACCUSATORY PUBLICATIONS"

Of course, I am an honorable and respectable man. If you accuse a person of drug dealing, you need to catch them with drugs and present it to them. If you accuse someone of selling food with pork, you need to publish it in a way that does not raise suspicion in people's minds, saying 'So many tons of pork were seized in the warehouses.' It is not right to make accusatory publications regarding a company recognized as a Turkish brand, which employs 12,000 people, and to conduct an investigation. I do not want injustice to be done even to that person who has wronged me.
