A terrorist attack was carried out against the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara. It has been officially confirmed that 4 people were martyred and 14 were injured in the attack. It was reported that the condition of 3 of the injured is critical, while 2 terrorists who carried out the attack were killed. As reactions poured in from all over the country and the world to this despicable attack, a statement came from Selahattin Demirtaş, the former co-chair of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP). Demirtaş condemned the terrorist attack through his social media account. Demirtaş stated, "We condemn the attack in Ankara, we wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives, and we extend our condolences and patience to their relatives. We also wish a speedy recovery to the injured along with our best wishes. Those who try to cut short the search for solutions to our problems through dialogue and politics with blood should know that if Öcalan takes an initiative and wants to open the way for politics, we will stand behind him with all our strength. We will not accept any approach aimed at discrediting democratic politics and peace efforts, rendering them powerless. Everyone should account for this accordingly. We will never allow the voices of those who seek peace to be suppressed this time, regardless of where they come from."
