Serbian police arrested more than 250 people on Tuesday amid days of operations targeting criminals in the Balkan country.
The operation -- codenamed Ares -- saw officers seize weapons, ammunition and explosives according to the country's interior ministry.
Police also uncovered an illegal workshop manufacturing guns and ammunition in Serbia's eastern city of Zajecar.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic, the five-day operation sent a clear message to the criminals that "nobody is untouchable and protected". -
