After the rehabilitation process, Akın will leave Turkey.

HE WILL SETTLE IN GERMANY

After recovering, Serhat Akın will permanently return to Germany, where he was born and raised. Serhat's family lives in a region between Stuttgart and Karlsruhe in Germany, and Akın's children continue their education in the area they live in. After the armed attack, Serhat's father also wanted his son to return to Germany and continue his life there. The former Fenerbahçe player made this decision and will continue his life in Germany from now on.

Serhat Akın, a former striker of the national team and Fenerbahçe, and a football commentator, was attacked on September 26 at around 23:30 after a sports program broadcast on a social media platform in Beykoz. Serhat Akın was hit by 3 bullets, 2 in his left foot and 1 in his right foot. After the attack, Akın was treated in the hospital. Of the 6 suspects detained in connection with the attack, 5 were arrested and sent to prison. It was learned that those arrested in the investigation included O.D. (19), who had a criminal record for carrying out the attack and stealing the motorcycle's license plate, O.M. (23), who was riding the motorcycle, and I.T. (23), E.Ü. (26), and M.A. (23), who acted together with the suspects.
