In Şırnak, 7 regions have been declared as a 'temporary special security zone' for 15 days. DECISION ON TEMPORARY SPECIAL SECURITY ZONE IN ŞIRNAKIn a statement made by the Şırnak Governorship, it was noted that 7 regions in the city center and districts were declared as "temporary special security zones" between September 29 and November 12. The statement indicated that the decision was made based on Article 11(c) of Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration and Article 32/A of Law No. 2565 on Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones, in order to ensure national security within the administrative borders of Şırnak province, maintain public order and safety, prevent crime, protect fundamental rights and freedoms as well as the rights and freedoms of others, ensure general public order, prevent incidents of violence, and avert any negative situations that may arise. ACCESS TO 7 REGIONS IS PROHIBITEDIn this context, the Bestler Dereler region located within the borders of the central district of Şırnak province, the Gabar Mountain region located within the borders of the central district of Şırnak province and the Güçlükonak district, the Cudi Mountain region located within the borders of the central district of Şırnak province, Silopi and Cizre districts, the Kurt Mountain region located within the borders of the central district of Şırnak province, Silopi and Uludere districts, the Kelmehmetler-Dönmezler-Kovankaya, Tahtareş, Hüsrevpaşa-Suhurpaşayayla, İncebeldağları, Faraşin regions located within the borders of the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak province, the Altındağları region located within the borders of the Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak province, and the Oymakaya region located within the borders of the Beytüşşebap and Uludere districts of Şırnak province have been declared as "temporary special security zones" for 15 days from October 29 (inclusive) to November 12 (inclusive) to prevent citizens from being harmed by illegal elements and the measures to be taken against them. It was stated that citizens are prohibited from entering the mentioned region without permission during these dates for their safety and security, and those who do not comply with the ban will face legal action in accordance with Article 66 of Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration.
