According to Meteorology, today (Monday, October 12) showers and thunderstorms are expected in most of Marmara, the Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. In the Coastal Aegean, Southeastern Anatolia, and around Edirne, Çanakkale, Antalya, Isparta, Hatay, and Tunceli, precipitation is expected to be heavy. In the southern and western parts, temperatures will drop by 4 to 6 degrees.
On the first day of the new week, the weather across the country will be partly and very cloudy, and showers and thunderstorms will be effective in many regions. Temperatures are expected to decrease noticeably in the southern and western parts.
IN WHICH REGIONS WILL RAINFALL BE EFFECTIVE?
According to the forecast of the General Directorate of Meteorology for Monday, October 12, showers and thunderstorms are expected in Marmara (except Kocaeli and Sakarya), the Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia and Southeastern Anatolia. Precipitation will also be seen in Eastern Anatolia except Ardahan and Iğdır, as well as around Karabük, Kastamonu, Bolu, Çorum, Tokat, Gümüşhane and Bayburt.
HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED IN THESE PROVINCES
Rainfall is expected to be heavy in the Coastal Aegean, Southeastern Anatolia, and around Edirne, Çanakkale, Antalya, Isparta, Hatay and Tunceli. Heavy rainfall is also expected in the eastern parts of Elazığ.
DUST TRANSPORT AND TEMPERATURE DROP
Dust transport will be seen in the Eastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Anatolia. It was reported that air temperatures will decrease by 4 to 6 degrees in the southern and western parts. The wind is expected to blow generally light from southerly directions, occasionally at moderate strength.
