"SİBERGÖZ-48" operation in 19 provinces! A transaction volume of 11 billion was detected in their accounts.

The "CYBEREYE-48" operations were carried out in 19 provinces, namely Trabzon and Aydın, coordinated by the Cyber Crimes Department of the Gendarmerie General Command.

"HIGH PROFITS IN A SHORT TIME" PROMISE

With the support of the Cyber Crimes Department, 33 suspects were arrested in operations carried out in Trabzon, Adana, Ankara, Batman, Eskişehir, Gaziantep, Hatay, İzmir, Mardin, Mersin, and Sivas, based on Trabzon, where they were found to have defrauded citizens by promising "High Profits in a Short Time" through a social media application and gained unfair profits.

COMMITTED FRAUD WITH FAKE ACCOUNTS

As a result of the operations carried out by the Cyber Crimes Department of the Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command, 9 suspects were arrested in operations carried out in Aydın, İstanbul, Iğdır, and Mardin, where they were found to have created fake accounts on social media platforms, used personal information of the people they befriended to create fake legal, settlement, and execution documents, sent these documents to citizens along with lawyer identification information, and defrauded our citizens under the names of "Attorney Fee, Case Closure Fee, or Settlement Fee".

SHARED SEXUALLY EXPLICIT VIDEOS OF CHILDREN

In addition, 23 suspects were arrested in operations carried out by the Cyber Crimes Department of the Adana, Ankara, Eskişehir, Giresun, İstanbul, İzmir, Kastamonu, Mersin, Muğla, Van, and Zonguldak Provincial Gendarmerie Commands, where they were found to have stored sexually explicit and obscene photographs and videos of children on their computers and committed the crime of "Online Child Pornography" by sharing these videos.

DIGITAL MATERIALS WERE SEIZED

As a result of the operations, a large number of computers, phones, SIM cards, portable storage devices, and bank/credit cards, as well as cold crypto wallets, were seized. It was determined that the accounts of the 65 suspects who were apprehended had a transaction volume of 11 billion 400 million TL.
