In Bintaş Neighborhood of Hassa district in Hatay, a snail invasion that began after the earthquake has engulfed about 8 houses and vegetable gardens. Ahmet Çalışır, a resident of the neighborhood, said they had no results with pesticide, salt, and sulfur, and noting that the pesticide's effect lasted only 1 day and that snails entered even inside the houses, asked the authorities for a solution.
Snails, which began to be seen frequently in Hatay's Bintaş Neighborhood after the earthquake, have invaded homes and vegetable gardens. Ahmet Çalışır stated that despite solutions such as pesticide and salt, the snails resumed the infestation a day later, and said they could no longer eat vegetables.
PESTICIDE, SALT AND SULFUR WERE NO SOLUTION EITHER
Residents of Bintaş Neighborhood in Hassa district continue their struggle against snails, which began to be seen frequently after the earthquake. Residents seeking a solution against the snails that invaded about 8 houses in the neighborhood could not get rid of the infestation, even though they tried pouring pesticide and salt.

Stating that the pesticide's effect against snails lasts 1 day, Ahmet Çalışır said, "We are very disturbed by these. We plant vegetables, we cannot eat them, and they surround our garden. They even get inside our house. We applied pesticide, salt and sulfur, but could not find a solution. We are disturbed by the snails. I apply the pesticide everywhere; it works, but the next day it continues again. The effect of the pesticide lasts 1 day and it continues constantly. We have been like this ever since the earthquake. When we shake the lettuce, snails fall off with a splatter; it was inedible. If the authorities find a solution to the snails here, we would be pleased and grateful," he said.
