One Turkish soldier was martyred and two others injured in an attack by PKK terrorists in Turkey's southeastern Sirnak province, authorities said Wednesday.
In a statement, the provincial governor's office said terrorists attacked the soldiers while they were guarding Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) workers in the Silopi district.
It added that anti-terror operations were ongoing in the region.
Meanwhile, a terrorist was neutralized during air-supported operations in Sirnak.
In its more than 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including many women, children and infants.
