Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the post with the words, "The prayers of our children playing football in Zerzevan and millions around the world with the heart of the Crescent and Star are with you."

The Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, wished success to the Turkish National Team, who will face the Netherlands, through a social media post. The video featuring gendarmerie personnel gave viewers goosebumps.

The National Football Team will face the Netherlands in the quarter-finals of the 2024 European Championship. Millions of people will follow this critical match, which will start at 22:00 tonight.

TURKISH NATIONAL TEAM SECURES A PLACE IN THE LAST 16

Turkey, which made it to the last 8 teams in the championship held in Germany, aims to advance to the semi-finals by defeating the Netherlands. The national team finished second in Group F, which also included Portugal, Georgia, and the Czech Republic, with 2 wins and 1 loss, following Portugal. They secured their place in the round of 16 by defeating Austria 2-1.

In the helicopter of the gendarmerie passing over children playing soccer in a remote village in Diyarbakır, military personnel inside the helicopter state in their radio conversation that the children are playing soccer with the moon and clothes. After a while, gendarmerie teams arrived with a military vehicle and distributed Turkey National Football Team jerseys to the children and gave them a new soccer ball as a gift.

The video included the statement, "Each of our children, who is the bright future, is under our steel wings. Our gendarmerie is in the service of our nation. Always."
