With the new year, a 6% Special Consumption Tax (SCT) increase will come into effect for fuel, and there will be another price increase for gasoline starting from midnight tonight.

IT WILL BE 45 LIRA 32 KURUŞ IN ISTANBUL

Accordingly, a price increase of 1 lira 27 kuruş is expected in the gasoline group. While no price change is anticipated in the diesel group, with the upcoming increase, the price of gasoline per liter in Istanbul will be 45 lira 32 kuruş.

Gasoline will rise to 46 lira 16 kuruş in Izmir and 45 lira 70 kuruş in Ankara. With the price increase reflected at the pump, gasoline prices will have increased by 7.60% in the last month.

HOW ARE FUEL PRICES CALCULATED?

Fuel prices are calculated by refineries based on the average prices of refined products in the Mediterranean market, which includes Turkey, and changes in the dollar exchange rate. As a result of this calculation, the prices applied by distribution companies may show slight variations due to competition and freedom among companies and cities.

EPGIS HAD DECIDED NOT TO ANNOUNCE PRICE CHANGES
