6 people were detained in Istanbul! Minister Yerlikaya: Investigation has been initiated regarding 63 accounts following the incidents in Kayseri.

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 68 percent of social media posts following the incidents in Kayseri were provocative in nature, and investigations have been initiated regarding 63 accounts. Minister Yerlikaya stated in his post, "We will not tolerate those who threaten the peace and security of our country, and those who engage in provocative and hate speech." Six suspects were detained in Istanbul for making provocative posts on social media accounts.

The Minister of Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, stated that they will not tolerate those who threaten the peace and security of the country, make provocative posts, and engage in hate speech following the incidents in Kayseri.

Minister Yerlikaya made a statement regarding the events and the aftermath that occurred in the city after a 5-year-old girl was sexually abused by a foreign national in Kayseri yesterday evening.

"37 OF THE ACCOUNTS THAT MADE POSTS ARE BOTS"

Minister Yerlikaya, who made a post on his social media account, stated that "Approximately 79,000 accounts made 343,000 posts on social media platform X after the incidents that occurred in Kayseri on the evening of June 30, 2024. It was determined that 37% of the accounts that made posts were bots, and 68% of the posts were found to be provocative and negative. An investigation has been initiated for 63 accounts. 10 of them have been referred to the prosecutor's office; the procedures for the others are ongoing."
