Netanyahu receives a thunderous applause at the US Congress! Turkey reacts to scandalous footage.

24.07.2024 23:50

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who spoke at the Congress in Washington, the capital of the United States, was applauded by the members of Congress for a long time. While Netanyahu's words were frequently interrupted by applause, Turkey did not delay in reacting to the scandalous images. Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmuş, stated, "The group that 'applauds' a mass murderer being tried in international courts has been engraved in the memory of humanity as accomplices to this massacre."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the US Congress in Washington. Netanyahu was applauded by senators in Congress. Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, used the expression "a group that applauds a murderer being tried in international courts" for those images.

"WAR CRIMINAL" BANNER DISPLAYED IN THE PARLIAMENT

While Netanyahu was speaking, Rashida Tlaib, a member of the US House of Representatives of Palestinian origin, raised a "war criminal" banner. Another participant wore a yellow t-shirt with the words "Make the deal now" calling for an agreement to be made with Hamas for the release of Israeli prisoners.

Kamala Harris, who is expected to be Vice President under Biden and the Democratic presidential candidate, did not attend Netanyahu's session at the US Congress.

"A WAR FOUGHT BETWEEN CIVILIZATION AND BARBARISM"

Netanyahu described the war in which 39,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, lost their lives in Gaza as a war fought between civilization and barbarism. Netanyahu said, "This is a conflict between those who glorify death and those who sanctify life. For the forces of civilization to win, the US and Israel must stand together. Because when we stand together, something very simple happens; we win and they lose. My friends, today I have come to give you the assurance of something. We will win," he said.

Netanyahu said, "Israel does not want to settle in Gaza. There should be a civilian administration in Gaza that does not try to destroy Israel and is led by Palestinians. Superior security control is needed for a predictable future in Gaza," he said.

THANKS TO US PRESIDENT BIDEN FOR BEING "ZIONIST"

Netanyahu thanked US President Joe Biden for his efforts to rescue Israeli prisoners, saying, "I have known President Biden for 40 years, and I want to thank him for being a friend of Israel for half a century and for being proud to be an Irish-American Zionist, as he himself has stated."

"INSULTING THE PROTESTERS AS "IRAN'S USEFUL IDIOTS"

Netanyahu used derogatory language towards the protesters who protested him outside the US Congress, saying, "As far as we know, the Israelophobic protests going on around this building are financed by Iran. Although they are not numerous, they are there and they are also present throughout the city. I have a message for these protesters. If the tyrants in Tehran who hang homosexuals on cranes and kill women because they do not cover their hair praise, support, and finance you, then you have become Iran's useful idiots. Some of these protesters carry banners saying 'Gays support Gaza.' This is similar to carrying a banner saying 'Chickens support KFC,'" he said.

"WE KNOW THAT AMERICANS ARE BEHIND US"

Netanyahu also mentioned the attacks carried out by the Houthis in Yemen and thanked members of both the Democratic and Republican parties in Congress for their ongoing support for Israel. Netanyahu said, "While we defend ourselves on all fronts, we know that Americans are behind us. Thank you for that," he said.

THE FIRST REACTION FROM TURKEY

The first reaction to Netanyahu being applauded by US senators came from Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Kurtulmuş criticized the situation, saying, "A group that applauds a murderer being tried in international courts, trampling on all the gains of humanity in the name of human rights, democracy, and justice, has been engraved in the memory of humanity as partners in this massacre. Shame on you..."
