The statement of Kaan Tangöze, who was detained and later released as part of a drug investigation, has emerged. According to Burak Doğan's report; Tangöze mentioned in his statement that the substances found in his home might have been stale. He also stated that he consumed substances on the balcony at night.
'I BOUGHT IT FROM A DEALER I DON'T KNOW'
Tangöze stated that he does not accept the accusations against him and said:
"I do not want to benefit from these provisions because I did not commit the crime attributed to me, but I am ready to help you with everything I know. I am an artist recognized by the public. About 2 years ago, during a search conducted by law enforcement, I had purchased marijuana from a dealer I did not know on the street, as a result of the discovery of drugs in my home. However, I do not remember how much money I gave, and I do not know this person."
'IT MAY BE STALE'
Tangöze, who is married and has 3 children, stated that his substance use is low due to his busy work schedule and that the substances found at home may be stale. He also expressed that blood and urine samples were taken and revealed that he bought marijuana from a shop that he knew was legally sold during his tour in Germany:
"About a month ago, we went to Germany for a concert tour. During this time, I bought marijuana again from a shop that I do not remember, knowing that it was already legally sold in Germany, and I consumed it."
'I USE IT ALONE ON THE BALCONY'
Tangöze described his method of use as follows:
"I generally take the drug alone during the day and smoke it on the balcony at night. I have never taken drugs at any concert I have performed, either domestically or abroad, and I am also curious about why I am being processed. I have not attended any gatherings or parties where drugs are consumed in Turkey. I have not been in these places."
"I HAVE NO CONNECTION WHATSOEVER"
Tangöze stated that he has no drug use or connection with his work team and said that he voluntarily provided his mobile phone to the police:
"I have no connection to buy drugs. As far as I have seen from the media, there is no person I know or any action I am connected to in the investigation file."
The investigation is ongoing, and Tangöze's statements have been added to the file.
