Sudan's Minister of State for Social Welfare, Selima Ishak, stated that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which took control of the city of Fasher in North Darfur, killed 300 women within the first 2 days after entering the city.

Ishak provided information regarding the violations of the RSF in the city of Fasher, which is accused of massacres against civilians, especially in various regions of the country, including Darfur, while conducting an armed struggle against the army in Sudan.

"WOMEN ARE SUBJECTED TO SEXUAL ASSAULTS"

Ishak, who said, "The RSF killed 300 women within the first 2 days after entering the city," continued: "In Fasher, women are subjected to sexual assault, violence, and torture. People in the city continue to face torture, abuse, violence, humiliation, and degradation. What is happening here is a systematic ethnic cleansing and a major crime that everyone remains silent about and turns a blind eye to."

"ROADS HAVE TURNED INTO DEATH ROADS"

Pointing out that those fleeing from Fasher to the town of Tavila are also in danger due to the attacks, Ishak stated, "Because the roads between these regions have turned into death roads."

CONFLICTS IN SUDAN AND VIOLATIONS BY RSF FORCES

Since April 15, 2023, Sudan has been witnessing violent clashes between the army and the RSF, which is supported from outside. The largest city in the Darfur region, Fasher, has largely come under the control of the RSF following intense clashes.

In the city, where tens of thousands have fled the clashes, moments of the RSF forcibly displacing civilians and killing and torturing many unarmed individuals have been reflected in videos shared by RSF members.
