The Samsun Governorship reported that no judicial investigations have been reached regarding the allegations that a 19-year-old girl was threatened, which appeared in the press.

In Samsun, 19-year-old Sudenaz Genç claimed that she had to drop out of school due to being followed and harassed by a tradesman around the course she attended at the age of 16 to prepare for university. Despite moving to another neighborhood within three years, the young girl stated that she could not escape from the obsessive individual, expressing that her life has turned dark and that she has received death threats.

THE GOVERNORSHIP REVEALED THE TRUTH

An explanation came from the Samsun Governorship regarding the incident. In the statement made by the governorship, it was noted that there was a need to make a press statement regarding the news that appeared in some media outlets and social media accounts with headlines such as "A married man S.G. turned life into a nightmare in Samsun" and "A young girl in Samsun has been followed and threatened for 3 years, living in fear of death."

"NO FOLLOWING OR THREAT"

In the statement, it was reported that there have been issues arising from the neighborly relations between S.G. (19), her mother L.G. (43), their neighbor A.T. (31), and his wife C.T. (32) since June 2022. It was stated that "As reported in the news, no persistent following or emotional issue has been reached in judicial investigations, it has been determined that both parties have repeatedly complained about each other, and preventive measures have been taken against both parties. As of November 20, there is a continuing preventive measure against S.G. and her mother L.G. at the request of A.T. and C.T. Research and investigation regarding the matter are ongoing."
