President Erdoğan presented the leaders attending the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government with a custom-made revolver engraved with their names, along with a box of ammunition. The necessary export documents for transporting the firearms to their respective countries were also handed over to the leaders. However, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer was unable to bring the revolver gifted to him to the UK due to legal regulations concerning arms imports in his country.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented the heads of state and government participating in the 36th NATO Summit with custom-made revolvers engraved with their names and a box of ammunition. It was also stated that Erdoğan delivered the necessary export documents to the leaders so that the weapons could be taken to their countries.
STARMER COULD NOT TAKE THE WEAPON TO HIS COUNTRY
According to a report by the British newspaper The Guardian, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated in a press briefing on the plane after the summit that he did not take the revolver gifted to him to his country due to the UK's legal regulations on arms imports.

The report claimed that the weapon was left at the UK Embassy in Ankara to be rendered inoperative.
