In the Narin Güran murder case in Diyarbakır, 8 people, including the mother and brother, were arrested, while the activity during the investigation process continues. It was learned that the Provincial Gendarmerie Commander visited the Chief Prosecutor today, apart from the routine, and this development was interpreted as possible new confessions and new arrests with the evidence to come from the Forensic Medicine.

The suspects, including Narin Güran's mother Yüksel, her brother Enes, her uncle Fuat Güran, her two cousins, and her aunt, were sent to the duty criminal judge as part of the investigation into the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır. 8 of them were arrested and 4 were released under judicial control. Today, the visit of the gendarmerie commander to the prosecutor's office outside of routine raised speculation about possible new detentions within the scope of the investigation.

8 PEOPLE ARRESTED AND SENT TO PRISON

Among the suspects who were detained as part of the investigation and brought to the courthouse after the procedures at the gendarmerie yesterday, Yüksel (44), Enes (18), Fuat Güran (41), Muhammet Kaya (23) and Birsen Güran (19), Maşallah Güran (46), and Mehmet Selim Atasoy (40), who is known to be the worker of Salim Güran, the uncle who is in custody, were arrested.

MOTHER AND BROTHER ACCUSED OF "PARTICIPATION IN INTENTIONAL HOMICIDE"

Mother Yüksel and brother Enes Güran are accused of "participation in intentional homicide", uncle Fuat Güran is accused of "destroying evidence of the crime", and the other 5 suspects are accused of "favoring the guilty and destroying evidence of the crime". They were arrested and sent to prison.

NUMBER OF PRISONERS INCREASED TO 10

R.A. (15), who is the cousin of Narin and the worker of Kurtuluş and Ömer Faruk Güran, and Melike Güran and Salim Güran, who is known to be their cousin, were released under judicial control. The number of prisoners increased to 10 within the scope of the investigation.

"THE MEETING OF TWO AUTHORITIES IS NOT ROUTINE"

Halk TV Reporter Ferit Demir, who reported the latest developments in front of Diyarbakır Courthouse, announced that the Provincial Gendarmerie Commander visited the Prosecutor in his office. Demir stated that with new confessions and evidence from Forensic Medicine, there may be new detentions and said that the meeting of the two authorities is not routine.

WHAT HAPPENED?

A search operation was initiated for 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in Tavşantepe Neighborhood. Salim Güran, the headman of Tavşantepe Neighborhood and also the uncle of Narin Güran, who was detained within the scope of the investigation conducted by Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was arrested by the duty criminal judge on September 2.

Diyarbakır Governor Murat Zorluoğlu announced that Narin Güran, who went missing, was found dead on September 8 at around 08:45 with her clothes hidden in a sack and covered with stones by the Eğertutmaz Stream. Zorluoğlu stated, "According to the initial findings, it is understood that the missing Narin Güran was put into a sack after being killed, brought to the edge of the stream, placed in the water together with the sack, and closed with tree branches and stones in a way that would not raise suspicion and give a natural appearance."

Nevzat Bahtiyar (48), one of the 24 suspects who were detained within the scope of the investigation, claimed in his statement at the gendarmerie that his uncle Salim Güran asked him to throw the lifeless body of the little girl into the stream in exchange for 200 thousand liras. He was referred to the courthouse. In his statement at the duty criminal judge, Bahtiyar, who claimed that his uncle Salim Güran threatened him by saying, "I killed Arif's daughter, you will also take this body and destroy it. Otherwise, I will kill you and your family," was arrested on September 10 and sent to prison for the crime of "participation in intentional homicide."

One of the suspects, who was found to be an imam in the neighborhood, was released after the procedures at the gendarmerie on September 11. 22 suspects were brought to the courthouse after the procedures at the gendarmerie yesterday, and after the interrogations at the prosecutor's office, Yüksel, Enes, Fuat Güran, and 2 cousins and aunt were sent to the court with a request for their arrest. 3 of the suspects were sent to the court with a request for judicial control, and 10 people, including father Arif Güran, were released.
