A woman has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the deaths of three people in a nursing home.
The police stated that seven more people were taken to the hospital from Gainsborough Nursing Home and that the primary focus of the investigation is carbon monoxide poisoning.
The Dorset Police Force indicated that the deaths are currently being treated as suspicious.
A 60-year-old woman from the area has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and is still being held in police custody.
The police reported that they received a call regarding the discovery of three residents deceased at the nursing home on Ulwell Road in Swanage at 07:16 in the morning.
As a precaution, seven people were taken to the hospital.
The other residents of the nursing home were evacuated to another location where they can receive appropriate care.
Chief Inspector Neil Third from the Major Crime Investigation Team said: "We extend our heartfelt thoughts and condolences to the families and loved ones of those who tragically lost their lives. Our police officers are providing support to them."
