The "Han Kuang" exercise, known as Taiwan's largest annual military exercise, has started.

The Ministry of National Defense of Taiwan has made a statement about the "Han Kuang" exercise, which will be held for the 40th time this year. The statement stated that the purpose of the military exercise, which will last until July 26, is to "enhance the ability to protect critical infrastructure in Taipei city and increase the resilience of key infrastructure across the island."

The statement also mentioned that "news anchors" created using artificial intelligence and capable of speaking in 18 different languages will also participate in the exercise. The statement also mentioned that the "Wanan" air defense exercise, which will be held for the 47th time this year, has started. It was stated that within this framework, "warplanes" located in the west of Taiwan will move to the Hualien Air Base in the east of the island. A Ministry of National Defense official, speaking to Taipei Times, stated that the exercise will measure the cooperation between the military and the public to ensure that Taiwan's connections with the outside world remain open in the event of a possible Chinese blockade. The exercise will take place at one of the major ports on the island.
