In the investigation regarding the body found in the well of a business selling construction materials and sand in the Fatih district of Istanbul, it has been decided to arrest two individuals who were taken into custody.
Two suspects who were detained in relation to the discovery of a corpse in the well of a business selling construction materials and sand in the Fatih district of Istanbul have been arrested.
According to allegations, citizens reported a foul smell coming from the vicinity of a business selling construction materials and sand on Cibali Street in the Fatih district of Istanbul.
A BODY WAS FOUND IN THE WELL
Upon receiving the report, police and fire brigade teams arrived at the scene and found a male corpse in the well of the business. After investigations, it was determined that the body belonged to Sedat D. (43), who had been missing for some time. The corpse was retrieved from the well by fire brigade divers and taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy.
CONFESSED TO THE MURDER
After it was determined that the body belonged to Sedat Dereli, Aydın Cem K. and his father Şaban K., who is the owner of the business, were detained. The suspect Aydın Cem K. stated in his testimony to the police, "Sedat needed a gun. That's why he came to me. He asked me to get it for him since he couldn't buy it himself. So, I went and bought a gun for 10,000 lira. I called him to the shop to deliver it. While I was showing him the gun, it suddenly went off. He was shot in the head and fell to the ground."
THEY WERE ARRESTED
The two suspects who were detained have been arrested and sent to prison.
