The 11th International Istanbulensis Poetry Festival has come to an end.

The 11th International Istanbulensis Poetry Festival, organized by the Sultanbeyli Municipality, concluded with an award ceremony. Many poets from both domestic and international backgrounds participated in the festival and visited schools over the course of three days to meet with students. As part of the festival, a poetry competition was also held for middle and high school students, receiving 300 applications. The awards were presented to the winning students by members of the protocol.

The award ceremony, hosted by Sultanbeyli Mayor Ali Tombaş, was attended by Presidential Chief Advisor Vedat Demiröz, AK Party Istanbul Deputy Yahya Çelik, Sultanbeyli District Governor Kemal Şahin, and many guests. The festival, which started on May 21 at Aydos Castle, saw the participation of many poets from both domestic and international backgrounds. Throughout the three-day festival, poets visited schools and met with students.

Presidential Chief Advisor Vedat Demiröz expressed that he finds it very valuable to include young poets in the festival, stating, "I am happy to be among you today. We appreciate our Mayor's efforts in education, sports, culture, and social activities. It is quite beautiful that 300 of our young people participated in the poetry competition. Showing the courage to write is a great honor. Additionally, hosting poets from abroad by giving the festival an international quality is a source of pride. Hopefully, we will also have the opportunity to present the poems here to Mr. President. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the festival, especially our Mayor Ali Tombaş." he said.

Sultanbeyli Mayor Ali Tombaş emphasized that they care about and support the development of young poets, stating, "This year, we made a first by organizing a poetry competition among students as part of the festival. We received 300 applications for the poetry competition, which includes middle and high school students. This is both prideful and hopeful. We awarded the students who ranked in the competition with prizes from our expert jury panel. I believe that those who participated in this competition today will be guest poets at this festival in the future. I would like to once again sincerely thank all the poets, guests, and valuable students who contributed to our festival." he stated.
