Gupse Özay, one of the beloved female comedians of recent times, talked about the health problems she experienced after the weight she gained for the Deliha films.
Gupse Özay, who gained 23 kilos for both films for the character Deliha, said that she could not lose weight after the second film and experienced health problems. The actress said that under a doctor’s supervision her TSH value came out at 185.
Gupse Özay, who underwent a physical change for the character Deliha, shared the effects of this process on her health on Ayşe Arman’s program. The actress, who stated that she lost the weight she had gained after the first film, said that she could not achieve the same result after the second film.
THE CAMP IN THAILAND DIDN’T WORK EITHER
Özay said that she gained 23 kilos for the first Deliha, released in 2014, and Deliha 2, which met audiences in 2018. The actress, who realized after the second film that she could not lose weight, said that she went to a detox camp in Thailand to find a solution but did not get the result she expected there either.
Speaking about the results she encountered during the doctor’s check-up, Özay said, “The doctor looked at the tests, and TSH came out at 185 or something.” Explaining that she experienced problems with her pancreas and blood sugar, the actress summarized that period with the words “My life had gone off track, I mean, I was ruined.”
PHYSICAL CHANGE DECISION
Stating that after the health problems she experienced, she did not undertake such a physical change for roles again, Özay said, “Since then, I cannot do this in any way.” The actress also expressed that she did not regret what she did for Deliha with the words “We did it at the time, and thank goodness we did.”
