MOMENT OF ACCIDENT ON CAMERA
Footage of the accident that occurred on the D-100 highway in Istanbul's Kucukcekmece district, where 3 people lost their lives, has emerged.
In the security camera recordings, the car is seen speeding on the D-100 highway, then rear-ending the IETT bus traveling in the same direction.
CAR SWERVED FROM IMPACT
The footage shows the car swerving from the force of the collision and vehicles in the vicinity slowing down and stopping after the accident.
Immediately after the accident, other drivers in the area are seen heading to the scene and getting out of their vehicles to help.
3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES
The accident occurred on the Edirne direction of the D-100 highway. The car with license plate 34 BLN 100, whose driver's identity has not yet been disclosed, rear-ended the IETT bus.
The 3 people trapped in the car were extracted by fire department teams and, despite all interventions, lost their lives at the hospital where they were taken with serious injuries.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
While the Edirne direction of the D-100 highway was closed to traffic for a while due to the accident, police teams continue their investigation to determine the exact cause of the incident.
