The agricultural input price index (Agriculture-GFE) increased by 1.39% on a monthly basis and by 33.25% on an annual basis in August.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the Agriculture-GFE data for August.
Accordingly, the index increased by 1.39% compared to the previous month, by 22.33% compared to December of the previous year, by 33.25% compared to the same month of the previous year, and by 43.15% according to 12-month averages. In the main groups, compared to the previous month, there was an increase of 0.99% in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and an increase of 3.75% in the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment. Compared to the same month of the previous year, there was an increase of 30.9% in the index of goods and services used in agriculture and an increase of 48.51% in the index of goods and services contributing to agricultural investment. 74.09% INCREASE IN VETERINARY EXPENDITURESAccording to the annual Agriculture-GFE, 4 subgroups showed lower changes, while 7 subgroups showed higher changes. The subgroups with the lowest annual increase were fertilizers and soil conditioners at 9.27% and agricultural chemicals at 23.07%. In contrast, the subgroups with the highest annual increase were veterinary expenditures at 74.09% and other goods and services at 67.83%.CHAMPION OF MONTHLY INCREASE: SEEDS AND PLANTING MATERIALAccording to the monthly Agriculture-GFE, 3 subgroups showed lower changes, while 8 subgroups showed higher changes. The only subgroup that showed a monthly decrease was energy and lubricants at 1.11%. The subgroups with lower monthly increases were animal feed at 0.48% and other goods and services at 1.27%. The subgroups with the highest monthly increase were seeds and planting material at 4.62% and materials at 4.09%.
