It was claimed that there was an attempted rape of two female students in front of the KYK dormitory in Mersin. Following the announcement of this claim in the students' WhatsApp groups, a massive protest was organized, which was also attended by male students from the dormitories. Many students reacted to the incident by chanting slogans such as "Don't be silent, if you stay silent, it will be your turn next" and "May the hands that rise against women be broken."

As violence against women has been increasingly rising in Turkey recently, an incident allegedly occurring in front of a KYK dormitory in Mersin has caused an uproar.

It was claimed that a man attempted to rape two female students in front of the KYK dormitory. Following the allegation shared in the students' messaging groups, hundreds of students took to the streets.

"MAY THE HANDS RAISED AGAINST WOMEN BE BROKEN"

A massive protest was organized with the participation of students from male dormitories as well, where many gathered and chanted slogans such as "Don't be silent, if you stay silent, it will be your turn" and "May the hands raised against women be broken."
