According to the inflation calculation for November by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the maximum increase rate that can be applied to residential and commercial rents has been determined. Accordingly, the rent increase rate will be 60.45%.
With the announcement of the inflation data for November by TÜİK, the rental increase rates for residential and commercial properties have been determined. The increase in residential and commercial rents is based on a 12-month average. Thus, the rental increase rate has become 60.45 percent.
The government had limited the rental increase rates calculated based on the CPI to 25 percent for residential properties throughout the year due to the sudden high increases in rents.
This application ended as of July, and the duration was not extended. Starting from July, tenants are making rent increases based on the CPI.
