Following the appointment decisions published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a comprehensive change of duty took place at the command level of the Turkish Armed Forces. A total of 205 generals and admirals serving in the Land, Naval, and Air Force Commands were appointed to their new posts.
The new assignment distribution regarding the top command echelon in the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) has been announced. With the Presidential Decrees published in the Official Gazette, 205 generals and admirals serving in the Army, Naval, and Air Force Commands were assigned to different duties.
ARMY COMMAND
2nd Army Commander Lieutenant General Zorlu Topaloğlu was assigned to the Aegean Army Command, Army Training and Doctrine Command (EDOK) Commander Lieutenant General Gültekin Yaralı was assigned to the 2nd Army Command, Lieutenant General Ahmet Kurumahmut was assigned to the 6th Corps Command, Lieutenant General Burhan Aktaş was assigned to the 3rd Army Command, and Lieutenant General Ertan İnaltekin was assigned to the Turkish Cyprus Peace Forces Command.
NAVAL FORCES COMMAND
Vice Admiral Mustafa Kaya was appointed as Deputy Fleet Commander, Vice Admiral Rafet Oktar as Amphibious Corps Commander, Vice Admiral Ramazan Özoğul as Northern Sea Area Command, and Rear Admiral Mehmet Baybars Küçükatay as Southern Sea Area Command.
AIR FORCES COMMAND
General Erdoğan Gür was assigned to the Combatant Air Force Command, Lieutenant General Yaşar Kadıoğlu to the Air Force Chief of Staff, and Lieutenant General Ergün Dinç to the Air Training Command.
Major General Vedat Öncel became the 2nd Main Jet Base and UAV Flight Training School Commander, and Brigadier General Esat Çetin became the 3rd Main Jet Base Commander.
