In Konya, police officer Mustafa Topuz (38) was injured with 7 knife wounds to his back in an attack by Emre Köroğlu (29), who allegedly suffered a nervous breakdown during a call he went to accompany health personnel. It was learned that Köroğlu had been detained 10 times and released due to crimes he was involved in over the last year, and he has 33 criminal records. The incident occurred around 10:30 in the Buhara neighborhood of the Selçuklu district on Bayramoğlu Street. The 112 Emergency Call Center received a report that a person was having a nervous breakdown. Following this, police and health personnel were dispatched to the address. While the teams were waiting in front of the house for the door to be opened, Emre Köroğlu, who was allegedly having a nervous breakdown, attacked with a knife in his hand. The attacker, who was shot in the back by another police officer, was lightly injured. Officer Topuz was taken to Meram Medical Faculty Hospital by ambulance. The attacker was taken to Konya City Hospital by another ambulance. It was reported that Topuz, who was receiving treatment, was in critical condition. DETAINED AND RELEASED 10 TIMES IN THE LAST YEARIt was learned that the attacker Emre Köroğlu has 33 records for crimes such as 'auto theft', 'injury', 'drug use', and 'robbery', and he had been detained and released 10 times due to crimes he was involved in over the last year.
