The Azerbaijani Manat has renewed its record against the Turkish Lira.

In recent years, the depreciation of the Turkish Lira has made the Azerbaijani currency more valuable against Turkey's national currency. With the recent fluctuations, the Manat, which hit a record high against the TL, rose to 19.38 kuruş. This makes shopping in Turkey attractive for Azerbaijani citizens.

FLOCKING TO IĞDIR

Azerbaijani citizens whose currency has appreciated have increased their shopping for food, drinks, and clothing by coming to Iğdır in groups. Those who do not shop in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Azerbaijan come to Iğdır to do cheap shopping and return to their countries.

The symbol of the currency known as the Azerbaijani Manat is (?) shaped. The middle of the Euro symbol (€) is similar to a single line pointing downwards. The designer of the Azerbaijani Manat is Austrian Robert Kalina.

This designer is also the person who designed the Euro and the Syrian Pound. Therefore, it is said that the selection of motifs on banknotes is similar to the Euro as they were inspired by it.
