The winner of the Miss Germany 2026 competition held in Germany has been announced. Dua Faris, a 26-year-old influencer born in Kamışlı, Syria, and of Kurdish descent, was chosen as the first among approximately 2600 candidates in the final held in Munich on March 7.
"EVERYTHING STARTED WITH A DREAM"
Faris, known on social media as "Rose Mondy," immigrated to Germany at a young age. Today, she has reached hundreds of thousands of followers on Twitch and social media platforms, sharing her success in the competition with her followers. Faris, who announced her success with the words "Everything started with a dream," expressed that she did not expect to be chosen as Miss Germany.
"EVERYONE TOLD ME 'SHE IS NOT GERMAN'"
Addressing the comments made about her during the competition process, Faris said, “Everyone told me ‘She is not German, she cannot be Miss Germany, she is not beautiful.’ But in the end, I was chosen as Miss Germany. Now no one can say anything.”
Faris emphasized that her purpose in participating in the competition was not just beauty, stating that she wanted to create social awareness, especially for women and children. She said she aimed to be a role model for them and to make their voices heard. Faris noted that with the new system, the traditional crown application in beauty contests has been abolished, showing the official red sash that says "Miss Germany" and stating, “The crown system is no longer in place.”
