The Berlin Police has identified the Turkey-Netherlands match as the "most unprecedented high-risk game".

After Merih Demiral's goal celebration with the wolf sign, which caused the national football player to receive a 2-match ban by complaining to UEFA, the Germans, who caused another scandalous decision before the Turkey-Netherlands match to be played in Berlin. The Berlin Police Union declared this match as the highest-risk match. It was also announced that all personnel are kept at the alarm level.

In the statement made, "Turkey-Netherlands is the highest-risk match that has no equivalent among the remaining matches. We keep all possible personnel at the alarm level for this match. We also expect support from the federal level and the states," the statement said. Berlin police spokesman Stefan Petersen-Schümann said that the exact number of emergency services can only be announced on the day of the match.

In the statement made by UEFA, it was stated, "An investigation has been initiated in accordance with Article 31(4) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations regarding the alleged inappropriate behavior of Merih Demiral, a player of the Turkish Football Federation, in the UEFA European Championship Round of 16 match between Austria and Turkey, played in Leipzig, Germany, on 2 July 2024. More detailed information will be provided in the coming days regarding the matter." UEFA concluded the investigation and imposed a 2-match ban on our national football player Merih Demiral.

The Turkey-Netherlands match, which will be played in the quarter-finals of the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship, will start at 22:00 (local time) on Saturday, July 6th. The match at the Berlin Olympic Stadium will be broadcast live on TRT 1.
