THEY DID NOT WANT TO SIT WITH ISRAELI OFFICIALS

Beşiktaş management was provided with a separate area after they did not want to be in the stands with the Israeli delegation. The black-and-whites, who did not want to be in the same stand as the Israeli officials, left their section. Beşiktaş informed the stadium management of the situation, and shortly after, they were given a different area.

THE MATCH WAS MOVED FROM ISTANBUL TO HUNGARY

The match, which was planned to be played in Istanbul, was decided to be played without spectators in Hungary. In a statement made by the black-and-whites, the following expressions were used;

"The Beşiktaş - Maccabi Tel Aviv UEFA Europa League match has been decided to be played in Debrecen, Hungary, which is the only country that accepted to host as a result of our club's discussions with UEFA, the country federations affiliated with UEFA, and local authorities.

Although an agreement was reached with the local authorities of Hungary for the Beşiktaş - Maccabi Tel Aviv match to be played with spectators, the local authorities of Hungary decided today that the match would be played without spectators, citing the incidents that occurred during the Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv match as a reason.

The Beşiktaş – Maccabi Tel Aviv UEFA Europa League match will be played behind closed doors at the Nagyerdei Stadium in Debrecen, Hungary, on November 28, 2024. We kindly request our fans not to make travel plans regarding this match to avoid any grievances."
