A dispute over loud music in Balıkesir's Erdek district ended in murder. Shopkeeper İsmail Süzan was killed by a shotgun, and the suspect was arrested. Süzan's body was carried to the cemetery in the tow truck he had used for years.
A dispute caused by listening to loud music in the Erdek district of Balıkesir ended in murder. 46-year-old tradesman İsmail Süzan, who was shot with a pump-action shotgun, lost his life, while the suspect was arrested and sent to prison.
The incident occurred at the Erdek Small Industrial Site. According to claims, a verbal argument broke out between İsmail Süzan and welding master Ali Topallar over listening to loud music. The argument quickly escalated into a fight, and Ali Topallar opened fire with a pump-action shotgun he had with him.
DIED IN THE HOSPITAL
İsmail Süzan, seriously injured by the pellets hitting his body, collapsed in a pool of blood. Süzan, who received first aid from 112 Emergency Medical teams arriving at the scene upon notification, was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Despite all interventions by doctors, Süzan could not be saved and passed away.
SUSPECT ARRESTED
Ali Topallar, taken into custody by police teams following the incident, was referred to the courthouse after completing procedures at the police station. The suspect was arrested by the court he was brought before and sent to prison.
HIS BODY CARRIED BY HIS OWN TRUCK
A funeral ceremony was held for İsmail Süzan, a well-known tradesman of the district, at the Yalı Mosque following the afternoon prayer. The ceremony was attended by his family, relatives, and many citizens. After the funeral prayer, Süzan's coffin was taken to the district cemetery using his own truck, which he had used for years. During the emotional ceremony, citizens could not hold back their tears.
