Following the school attack in Kahramanmaraş, which resulted in the loss of 9 lives, a request was made to remove content and block access to 66 URLs that were provoking on Telegram. Additionally, a group named 'C31K', which has approximately 100,000 members and was found to be sharing footage related to the attack, was shut down.
A judicial process has been initiated regarding accounts that were found to have disseminated footage of an attack that occurred at a school in Kahramanmaraş via Telegram.
REQUEST TO BLOCK ACCESS TO 66 URL ADDRESSES
In investigations conducted by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications, the General Directorate of Security Department of Combating Cyber Crimes, and relevant chief public prosecutor's offices, it was determined that footage of the attack was shared, especially via Telegram, and provocative content was circulated.
Authorities requested the removal of content and blocking of access for 66 URL addresses to protect public order and prevent the spread of the said content.
GROUP WHERE SCANDALOUS SHARES WERE MADE HAS BEEN CLOSED
On the other hand, a group named "C31K," which has approximately 100 thousand members and was found to have shared footage related to the attack, has been closed. It was reported that judicial proceedings have also been initiated against users identified as making provocative shares.
It was learned that the investigation is being conducted in a multifaceted manner.
