According to the October data announced by TUIK today, the 12-month average increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) was realized at 62.02 percent. Therefore, the ceiling for rent increases in residential and commercial lease contracts that will be renewed this month will be 62.02 percent. Tenants and property owners will act according to this determined ceiling rate. 25% CEILING RATE ENDED IN JULYUntil July, a 25 percent ceiling on residential rent increases had been applied for two years. With the removal of this application, the ceiling rate has started to be calculated based on the 12-month average CPI as it was before.
